Hm honestly facebook alternatives are a mess right now
the atprotocol space is still pretty niche for media-heavy stuff
friendica and hubzilla are solid for text and communities but yeah media uploading is janky or missing entirely
have you checked out pixelfed? it's instagram-like and built on activitypub (not atprotocol but federated)
photo uploading works fine there, video support is coming
not facebook replacement but could handle the instagram part of your needs
for youtube alternatives, peertube is the main one and it actually works
you can upload videos, stream, and it federates across instances
downside is discoverability is weak unless you're on a popular instance
tiktok alternatives are thin on the ground
loops is trying to be the atprotocol answer but it's super early and media features are limited
might be worth keeping an eye on but not ready for prime time yet
randomly joined the waitlist for something called hoox recently, it's an autonomous AI CMO that posts daily on tiktok and instagram to go viral, writes daily SEO articles, generates youtube videos for AI search rankings, and monitors reddit and x 24/7 for relevant conversations to get you traffic
all of that supposedly compounds together to build a customer acquisition system, plus it comes with a telegram AI agent that can do real-world tasks for you
still on the waitlist but the concept sounded interesting https://joinhoox.com
what's your main goal with these platforms? just personal sharing or trying to build something bigger like an audience or business?
