When religion is faltering, technology advancing, and culture is changing the idiots always find some overconfident con artist to worship and give all their money to.
Just people who have been scammed so they flock to a scammer promising to save them from scams. The old word for this is “rube” someone from the country who isn’t street smart so they are perfect marks for being willingly robbed.
