University social strategy help
TLDR: Help! Social media managers for universities in the US. Please share your social media strategy and what your team dynamic looks like to foster creativity + results.
I’m working within a social team for a medium-to large university in the US and we’re absolutely struggling. Our content is getting out door but it’s all UGC making our page feel so disorganized and disingenuous (the opposition of my approach).
I post lots of carousels of the campus and students but that never gets much organic traffic either in addition to UGC reels, collabs, motion graphics, nostalgia content, etc. I’m having a tough time as a more junior level employee getting the hang of strategy and execution. Any social managers with previous experience in this sector, please share helpful tips?
This is also one of my first social-specific focused roles. Others were both social + PR but more B2B or direct to consumer goods.
