They say influencer, I hear performative narcissist. I imagine a LOT of kids in that generation are gonna be discussing their parents tiktok "careers" in therapy one day.

I teach middle school. I coach the Reading Bowl team. One of the books for this upcoming year is “So Over Sharing” and it’s about this EXACT thing. Gen Z doesn’t want to be their parents’ content. Shut this shit down.

I try really hard to avoid contents with children in it online. They’re being exploited- it doesn’t matter the intention. There’s so many content creators out there who just post their children’s life out there.
