I agree with her main point but she also somewhat contradicts herself early on. The government releases things when they're not a threat anymore, but also the released version are heavily redacted. Therefore the real files are still a threat and we should keep talking about them.

she isnt saying the files are a distraction, shes saying they (the government, the trump administration, the oligarchs, etc.) are drip feeding things to us as a tool.

the files hold legitimate horrors, there is way more that hasnt been released, and for a lot of people its a 100% legitimate issue but by releasing them slowly and revealing things in a measured and cautious way they can turn that motivation for justice into normalization and eventually total apathy.

how many people just accept that powerful people rape women or children? how normalized is straight up murdering children at this point? how many people are completely burnt out about school shootings? you probably thought i would say palestinians but whats the difference? people are absolutely fried because its all become normal.

if we were hammered with the full weight of the files or the horrors going on around the world enough people would care to peel the paint off the white house. they arent going to let that happen, its why they banned tiktok, they saw the impact it was having on the narrative in israel, its why they closed the files and refused to release any more, they got what they wanted, they got people all foamed up about the left hand while the right stole an election, took a trillion dollars out of our healthcare system and gave it to the wealthiest people on earth as a tax break and started a war to siphon even more money out of our economy, the country is being bled dry as we speak and people (rightfully so) still want to see justice for the epstein victims.
