That sounds like a woman who has never worked customer service before.

I try not to go to any restaurant within an hour of when they close, but my cut off is 1 hour for sit down and 30 minutes for casual to go.

I worked in food service when I was younger, and while I never complained and always gave quality service, I know that feeling when you’ve cleaned everything and haven’t had a customer for a half hour, and then someone strolls in 5 minutes before closing. Yes, I know “it’s your job,” and I did it without complaining, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be empathetic and not to that to others.

People are fucking stupid. These are the same people who want to act like people who work in the food service industry are only there because they’re dumb. One thing I can tell you with a lifetime of experience in customer facing service work is that it will make you feel like the smartest person in a 10 mile radius.
