Making a guess since I don't know these people more the contracts he signed. They probably struggling. Remember years ago when the voice actor for Brak(?) was delivering pizza because Adult Swim didn't pay them much? The show didn't hit syndication either so they didn't really get royalties like a live-action actor would. They did an entire episode about syndication too, right? I think they were hit with the Disney scam as well where you get royalties after your show hits two seasons so we'll change the name every couple of years to avoid that
