Facebook Page Access Changing?
I manage several Facebook pages across my company, and I’m noticing Facebook is now shifting from just allowing you to add people to manage a Facebook page to making you add them as a manager of the Business Portfolio.
I’m also noticing that as pages update, they’re randomly removing access from individuals who need it.
Has anyone seen any articles or videos about this change? I haven’t seen anyone talk about it much yet, but with it being the transitional time of the year for my company where access needs to be adjusted across many of these pages, I’m making a lot of changes and I’m just annoyed.
I’m sure it makes the process more secure, but it’s just another headache with the Meta Business Suite. Adding someone to a page used to be as simple as typing their name in and selecting the right account. Now I need their email address.
It gets worse on the Instagram side of things too. When you add them to the business portfolio and connect them to the Instagram account, you then have to go into the account center and make sure the business is separated from the individual’s personal accounts, otherwise anyone logged in can now access their personal Instagram account.
Has anyone else experienced this?
