A competition for yoga seems like the exact opposite of what yoga was intended for.
Competitors are traveling from around the globe, fit inside their carry-on luggage.
I feel like they are going to have lots of stability issues as they age
He's definitely tried it
At what point does this just become contortionism instead of yoga?
This cant just be a yoga thing, this dude has to be extremely hypermobile
Something is broken.
sorry, but at this point is it really yoga? isn't it just natural born hyper flexibility? its not something you can learn/train to do... no matter how much you stretch... so i dont really see the point of competing. it should at least be something if you practice/train to become the best youd be capable of even attempting it.
this isnt being flexible its called being double jointed or hypermobility and it usually has a bunch of negative side effects over your life.. its not exactly something that yoga would promote.
yoga postures are designed or were designed to keep the body healthy, not to show off a mobility trait that a small portion of the population have that often leads to negative side effects, thats not the point of yoga.
Every competitor lost. None of them achieved inner peace.
