It may not be an algorithm problem.
I think the “same format” problem is actually becoming more important than people realize.
Even if your hooks or structure are solid, when everyone starts using the same patterns, the feed stops feeling new. And at that point it’s not just about quality anymore—it’s about novelty of framing.
From what I’ve seen, distribution tends to respond more to:
- how fresh the angle feels
- whether the framing breaks a pattern people are used to
- whether it fits into a new or unexpected context
If you keep repeating the same structure, even with good content, it can start to feel “predictable” to the system and to viewers at the same time. And once that happens, people scroll faster because nothing stands out anymore—not necessarily because it’s bad, but because it feels familiar.
So I think the real challenge isn’t just making good content, it’s making familiar topics feel unfamiliar again through how they’re framed.
