Millennial talks sense into boomers who are mad their kids went no contact

After I had a marriage that lasted longer than my parents', I got a lot of perspective.

After I had a kid in that marriage, again - longer together than my parents', I got even more perspective.

Absolutely wild that my thrice-divorced crashout of a mother thinks she can give me parenting or relationship advice, especially on the way to bail out her stepdaughter for the 3rd time this month.

Boomers raised their kids with the attitude that they were owed something just for raising kids, I raise my kid knowing I have to do better.

Millennial here, my mother kicked me out when I barely turned 18 and I was still in high school.... Let me repeat that, I was still in high school and she kicked me out because I went to prom with a girl she didn't like, the girl she didn't like was part of my high school band.......

I have been no contact since, my mother will never meet my children nor my wife.....

This type of person literally can't help but tell on themselves. 

If I was their kid and saw this, I'd be pissed, but also so much more certain that cutting them off was the right call

The haircut of that woman is all I needed to see to know what she is like

"who had clothing, food, school"

that's literally the requirements of a parent. CPS would visit you and take custody if you didn't provide this for your children anyways.

i don't want a kid but i do because i want to raise them the opposite my parents raised me. and i wasn't neglected, it's just that it wasn't ideal seeing your parents fight all the time your entire childhood.

That type of thinking is exactly where the problem came from, acting like you can treat human beings like prisoners because you provide the legal necessities 

I guarantee if i treated any of those boomers how i was treated as a kid i would get the cops called on me hour ONE. Oh you made a noise i didnt like? smack, grounded from being in the living room with the rest of the family for a week, go to your room with only a bed, you miss out on dinner for your behavior.

Oh you're being angry in your room because of all the unnecessary punishment? Go outside, sit on the bench in the backyard completely still eyes forward hands flat, feet still, leave the coat. (Youre on Adderall as well and only 6 years old)

Judging by her haircut, she doesn’t know what a Karen is.

Only Betty Boomer McKaren would sport that haircut and start running her mouth like that on the internet.

As a former abused kid this controlling, narcissistic, permavictim was telling on herself from start to finish.

Proud of her kid for cutting her off and raising the next generation with higher standards.
