“The lord saved me” but also decimated your house and potentially killed your neighbors. I’ll never understand religious people

Thank goodness for the dramatic music. How else would I have known a person’s house crashing around them was dramatic?

what is insane is standing in the middle of the house during the tornado which was probably forewarned therefore not a surprise to video it for content and then acting like you're in shock and not running for cover but yeah wow what happened.

Poor guy. I hope he’s able to salvage some sentimental items and find a place to stay and I hope insurance covers the damage

I'm from St. Louis, MO, which last year had its worst tornado in seventy years. A 23-mile stretch of destruction a mile wide. Devastating.

So videos like this piss me off. The sirens aren't your signal to go outside like some hoosier. They aren't activated just for funsies. The Weather Service and your local Emergency Management Agency isn't putting out alerts based on vibes.

I worked with the Red Cross on that operation for eighty days, including a man who pulled his own dead mother from the collapsed house. It collapsed on her as she was going to the basement for refuge. She laid on the lawn under a sheet for hours.

It's all fun and games being cavalier with hazardous weather, up until your "fuck around" becomes a "find out". This young man is lucky to be walking away from a deadly with just cuts. As tornado alley expands Eastward, take the goddamn sirens, warnings, and visible hazardous weather patterns seriously.
