How to niche down without burnout & being authentic
About me: i love creating art (cottagecore portraits) but im also still experimenting /figuring out which direction I want to go.
Last year I started an art account, but after about half a year of trying and only very very slowly growing I got burnt out. I felt like I was just creating art for Instagram instead of the reason why I started: to be more creative outside of my 9-5.
It also didn't feel authentic anymore. I Love cottagecore, but my daily life is not like that, it is so much more.
In the future, I would love to work less in my day job, and be able to use my content creation as an actual creative side hustle.
But I feel like I am just so much more than the niche I pick. I don't want to talk about cottagecore art in every video. I want to give my thoughts and opinions (also outside of art) share my personal story with the world and help others. But that is so hard to still have a cohesive personal brand. How to do this? :)
Things I'd also love to talk about:
- fashion
- creative inspiration from music/museum
- nutrition / recipes / & my personal story with a good and healthy relationship with food
- more personal stories about topics like family, grief, how to deal with caregiving
- anti AI creativity / how to break free and CREATE
- in general just creative posts with collages from trips or adventures
And in general just stay authentic& relatable.
My biggest issue with this list, is that people will love one topic, but wont be interested in the other one.
