It’s weird because as a customer I don’t give a shit if the cashier is standing or not but I always hear about employers getting upset about it claiming it looks bad or lazy.

I actually have a friend who works for a company that replaced all computer desks for those high ones that are meant for using the computer standing, and they took away office chairs too.
