Help with copyright!?

I recently started managing the social media for the bookstore I work at and I was wondering how other businesses deal with copyright? I see so many businesses do all kinds of trends and I was wondering how they manage to do that when all the viral sounds aren’t listed as royalty-free? I have some good reel ideas as well but I don‘t want to get my company (and in extension, myself) in trouble by using sounds that i‘m legally not allowed to use, but I also don‘t want my videos to sound like every ad in the history of ever hahah

IANAL. It‘s a risk assessment.
I usually get the licenses for music if we wanna use some. But it‘s a tedious long process. Also trending sounds are a no-no.

For smaller brands like a bookstore the risk of copyright infringement is minimal though. As long as you don’t put media spend behind the videos, I’d go for it.

Bookstore social is tricky because you're small enough that a copyright strike actually hurts, but bland stock-audio reels get ignored fast.

What we landed on: use royalty-free audio from Meta's commercial library or CapCut's licensed catalog for anything on the business account. For trending sounds, only use ones marked for business use in Reels, and skip lip-sync trends that rely on mainstream music unless they're in that licensed pool. A lot of shops use viral sounds that aren't business-safe — they're just betting the account won't get flagged.

One workaround that kept things from feeling like a corporate ad: original voiceover on top of a royalty-free bed, or staff talking over b-roll. You still get personality without roulette-wheel copyright risk.

Are you posting as the bookstore's official account, or a personal creator-style account linked to the shop? That changes what's safe more than people admit.

Any people that runs 100 to 10k followers pages (any social media)?

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account. That's basically a way to monetize your pages passively. For now I'm doing it myself with my own pages (3 tiktok pages with 500 to 3k followers, and 1 6k subscribers Youtube channel), I made around $800 renting these for less than a month.
