Like half the chart is some kinda romance (“contemporary romance”, “m-m romance”, “historical romance”) separated into different categories for whatever reason, YA and children books or smut.

She's not wrong. As both a reader and a man, I know few men in my life and at work who read books. Their attention is wrapped up in social media, video games and pornography. It's as depressing as it is boring.
I have had dude friends that legitimately BRAG about not having read a book since high school. Like, that’s not the flex you think it is. But pop off, king, and enjoy your illiteracy and lack of imagination.
I’ve gotten into horror lit lately, and it’s soooo diverse and engaging. Amazing opportunity for men to read some exciting books that often feature women protagonists.
I would be curious what the literacy rates are across gender? Americans are not reading as much as past generations.
