AITA for going scorched earth on a bigot?
A post about one of my worst childhood experiences went viral a few days ago. A detrans influencer subtweeted about my post, basically saying I wrote the post about the incident for sexual gratification and speculating if it even happened. This is someone I never interacted with, who I didn't even know existed on the site, until I saw the screenshot. She spoke about what happened to me, like she was an anthropologist studying some unintelligent, primitive life-form. Like, literally, I've never been insulted that way in my life. I would never speak that way about another person in my life. But she did, because I'm trans.
She has x4 my follower count (still kinda unimpressive for an influencer, tbh), but I've built my account as my professional platform. Hate using it for this when I don't normally join discourse, even in my communities (and like literally, I never post about being trans, it was just relevent.) I never expected the post to go viral, and got a deluge of hateful trolling comments, but her subtweets were the worst because of how specifically dehumanizing the language was.
I called her out on it directly, she flip-flopped, DARVOed, then blocked me. I've still been calling her out on it these last few days. I don't want her to make money off of being a grifter, without having to own up to her words. I can't stop posting because I am still so angry. I'm worried I might be going scorched-earth on my own professional account, too. AITA?
