Important context: It's a game, not a serious ritual or ceremony.

A traditional activity unique to the Inuit, throat-singing is considered a game or competition; two people (often women, who would participate in this game while men were out hunting) stand facing each other, taking turns inhaling, exhaling and singing. Whoever runs out of breath first “loses,” and often another person takes their place to continue the game. In some cases, one of the two people taking part will start to laugh if they can’t catch their breath or if they’re trying really hard to keep up with the other person.

Relax with the pitchforks guys.

What?! The British aristocracy doesn’t respect indigenous peoples and their practices on their indigenous land? Who would have thought?!

I’m Inuit & it is legit funny to hear, especially seeing others laugh it’s infectious.

Dont get why people shit on them for finding this funny. Somethings are simply silly. I would understand if people laughed at some of my traditions too. Because from the outside they are silly maybe even a little goofy

It is funny. Why does every single tradition demand solemnity? You can respect someone's 'thing', and think it's silly and funny. Go ahead and laugh at the Morris dancers' bells and sticks!
