I honestly fear that the future will be this and Idiocracy combined.

This is the reality of what's up with AI versus what they're promising but keep in mind that twenty years ago they were promising us self driving cars, and hovercars, and to be taking vacation trips to our Moon and Mars colonies by now.

My experience dealing with situations that have clearly begun turning over functions to AI is that the AI is rarely able to deal with the problem and I wind up having to contact a very overworked and frustrated human that's catching all the fallout of the simple problem that the AI agent isn't able to answer.

LLM's are fantastic search engines to give you some big picture ideas about certain topics so you have somewhere to start.

They're pretty garbage at attempting to solve any issues with variability and nuance.
