I would separate the idea of a default hub from the idea of being present everywhere. Pick the place where the long-form work is easiest to publish, archive, export, and revisit, then treat the other networks as optional distribution rather than trying to make each one a complete home.

The practical test is less about which platform has the best feature list and more about where your actual readers already spend time. Publish a few representative pieces, then compare completion or read time, replies, return visits, and how easy it is to move your audience toward something you control, such as an email list. Data portability and a reliable export are worth checking before committing.

For the microblogging side, I would choose one network where you can comfortably participate for a month. A smaller, calmer audience that you can consistently talk with is usually more useful than splitting attention across several feeds before you know which workflow you can sustain.

Can't speak to Paragraph or Bastyon, haven't used either. But if part of what you want is a calmer long-form home base, I built cybersoda.blog for that reason, no feed algorithm, just chronological posts and profiles. Worth being upfront that it's more of an old-school blog-plus-profile setup than a Twitter-style microblogging replacement, so it wouldn't cover that side of what you're asking for.
