Ah Michael Parenti...a hard-core Marxist who always struggled to explain why Democratic capitalist societies always outperformed Marxist ones. He was hard-core till his dying day, but he never voluntarily moved to one of those awesome Marxist countries, but instead suffered in the terrible capitalism of the US.
