Has TikTok officially decided that my content isn’t good enough?

I’ve had my account for around 3 weeks now & it’s been a struggle. It’s a tribute page for a video game character & before anyone says that’s not relevant, this specific person is pretty viral. For the first week, I was getting views in the high hundreds-1k+. It died down but last week was a bit better, as a few videos made it to views that were close to 1k again. Today, I posted 2 videos that are around 4-5 hrs apart. And according to Google, during peak TikTok posting times. One video has a 56% retention rate with almost 30 likes and a little less than 300 views. The other was posted an hr ago with a 21% retention rate, less than 300 views & 30 likes. I only have 48 followers, try the viral songs/text/filters/formats, engage with commenters etc. Either I’m doing something very wrong or having the worst luck.

I would not read too much into two posts being held under 300 views yet. At three weeks old, TikTok is still testing small audience pockets, and a 56% retention rate with nearly 30 likes is not evidence that the account is broken. The more useful question is where the retention drops and whether viewers visit the profile or follow after watching.

For a tribute page, I would make the first second very specific to the character or the scene instead of relying only on a trending sound. Give people a reason to stop that works even if they do not know the account yet.

I would also compare 8 to 12 posts using the same basic format before changing direction. Keep the topic consistent, vary one thing at a time, and judge shares, rewatches, profile visits, and follows alongside views. Peak posting time can help a little, but it usually cannot rescue a weak first-frame promise.

I do not think two or three view posts are enough to judge the account. Try keeping the same niche but experiment with different openings, captions, or video length for a week. Sometimes one small change makes a bigger difference than posting at the perfect time.

Any people that runs 100 to 10k followers pages (any social media)?

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account. That's basically a way to monetize your pages passively. For now I'm doing it myself with my own pages (3 tiktok pages with 500 to 3k followers, and 1 6k subscribers Youtube channel), I made around $800 renting these for less than a month.
