Is this a sign that I’m about to get shadow banned on TikTok?

I posted a little less than an hr ago, it consists of 2 photos and likes were coming in pretty quickly. Then I checked analytics and noticed that all the traffic is 100% from personal profile and none from fyp. Considering most of my engagement comes from the fyp, I was suspicious and a content creator said that’s a sign there’s a pending violation. The post will reach a little less than 250 views and engagement has just stopped, which makes no sense. I posted 2 videos yesterday that did alright and the account check claims there’s no pending issues. So why did they stop all reach with my recent post? When I first posted, I added the fyp hashtag & removed it, since I wasn’t sure if that was affecting engagement.

Months and months of 200 views on each video until I finally figured out what the algorithm actually rewards

Two years in and I was suffering from inconsistency, but not the hooks, editing, or upload schedule. Those I had mostly mastered at this point after two years of grinding. Instead, it was too many videos just dying on the 200-300 view plateau before I could even figure out what was failing. Occasional bangers were carrying my whole channel but the hit rate was not there. What I had trouble seeing for the longest time was that the foundation of my entire content strategy was built on. While it seemed correct, I had iterated hundreds of times; however, I was optimizing based on the basic analytics available. Those numbers show the outcome of your video, after it already died or survived. You don't get the ability to know why someone left your video until after you've already lost the opportunity to learn about it. I had to start looking at what specifically happened in the first 10 seconds of my video, by comparing frame-by-frame retention graphs. On videos that succeeded over those that failed, there's a specific period, typically between seconds 5 and 7 where the algorithm's decision comes in. If your watch time is above 70% through that period, you get re-watches at above 25% on your videos and a tendency of someone looking more in depth than just being captured by your hook for two seconds. Videos that hit those numbers almost always perform in real distribution. My key change is that I stopped "guessing" why videos were failing and actually know the exact point that someone left. It wasn't that they left at 40% watch time, it was that they left at second 6 because my video froze for 1.8 seconds. This new information changed how I think about literally every single video. My hit rate is starting to improve in a way I can see it month over month. It's not instant but I am more accurate about how I make decisions going into a video and there is noticeably less time wasted doing work on something that is probably going to fail. Over the long run it definitely starts to compound fast. If you've been making videos for two years, know how to edit them, and still find that your results aren't where they should be with your experience, you are almost definitely an information problem. nobody needs to follow you anymore, and thats why your reels get views and no follows

everyone is asking why the views are fine and the follows are dead, and i think the answer is boring and structural, not the algorithm punishing anyone. think about why you used to follow an account. you followed so you would see their stuff again. that was the entire deal. now the feed serves you whatever it wants either way, and if that person makes another good video you will probably get shown it regardless. so following costs the viewer a slightly messier feed and gives them almost nothing back. the trade stopped making sense. which means "follow for more" is asking people to pay for something they already get for free. no wonder it quietly stopped working. the follows that still happen look different to me. people follow when they want to find you again on purpose. not to receive you, to locate you. thats a completely different job and it needs a different reason. a series where they want the next part. a name for the thing you do. something on the profile that signals there is more of this and its organised, not just one good video and then vibes. heres the part im not certain about and would like people to push back on. if this is right, two accounts making equally good videos should convert views into follows at wildly different rates depending on whether theres a recognisable recurring thing on the profile, and hook quality should barely matter for the follow specifically. it obviously still matters for the view. so if you run a series or a named format, does your follow rate look different from your one off posts? id like to know if this holds up or if im talking nonsense.

we run a b2b saas product and leadership signed off on outsourcing reddit for six months. One shop quoted per post, one quoted a flat monthly, and when i normalized them the per post one come out at roughly double. the flat monthly includes comments, the per post one bills those separately. for anyone who has bought this, which structure did you regret less

Has anyone here worked with interactive content / apps in context of social media and brand campaigns? As someone who builds software and is into design, my X feed recently has been full of people posting videos of small interactive apps they made. But you can only watch them, because you can't embed a (mini) app on X. Xiaohongshu now lets you publish a small app the same way you publish a note, and Meta launched a standalone app last month where AI-generated interactive posts live in their own feed. Does anyone still run HTML5 mini-sites or playable campaigns, and do they perform? Interactive was expensive to produce for a long time and now it isn't, so I'm curious whether that's changed anything on your side. And do you think Western social media platforms will follow Xiaohongshu?
