Why should each person pay a different price for THE SAME PRODUCT?

This should not exist.

It's bad enough that companies are allowed to collect a ton of information about you, without your permission. And, they said it was to tailor their advertising, based on our individual interest. Now, they are using this information to tailor their pricing, based on how desperate you are to buy their product.

Weren't computers, technology, robotics, AI/ML, etc. supposed to make our lives easier??? When is that gonna happen? Because, right now, it only seems to be making our lives worse.

Is this one of the reasons why companies are in favor of data centers?

Can we genuinely do anything against this?

Whoever came up with this and supports it should have things done to them which you can’t write here.

Wasn't there something similar a few years ago, that if you browsed travel booking sites on a Mac vs a PC, you were getting different prices. The Mac users, were getting a higher price for their bookings, than those on a PC.

If I'm understanding correctly the way this is used, it is sort of a fascinating outlier of a societal problem. Unlike basically every other instance of large, systemic inequity, this one actually seems to disfavor the affluent, and in a potentially major way. I literally cannot think of any others like it.

Of course, everything about this technique screams injustice, and I hope this practice gets stamped out by whatever means necessary.
