I started a student resource account — need your thoughts

Hi everyone! (Is “Rednoters” the right term? 😭)

I recently started an account where I share study advice, English improvement tips, public speaking advice, and my experiences applying for student leadership roles.

I started posting about two weeks ago, and I’m still trying to figure out what kind of content is actually useful for people. In one of my recent posts, I asked whether people would be interested in study tips and guides, because my audience is currently very small.

The reason I’m asking here is that I genuinely want to help as many students as possible, but I also want to make sure the time I spend creating these resources is actually valuable. Some posts take me hours to research, write, and organise, and sometimes it’s a little discouraging when they only reach a small number of people.

I’m also doing this as part of my CAS project, so I need to show that I’m consistently creating resources and that they’re reaching people over the next few months.

I’m not expecting to become famous or anything (I know it takes time lmao), but I would really appreciate any advice you have:

  • What kind of study/education content do you find genuinely helpful?
  • How can I improve the quality of my posts?
  • What makes you want to save or share a post?

I’m really trying my best, so any feedback would mean a lot :)

oh you're an ib student? try farming off of that. as an ib student myself like 70% of my feed is stuff asking for help for subjects that tons of people struggle w (chinese a, physics etc.) im honestly one of the few people ik that struggle with chinese b ee but it would be super helpful! also, i feel like extracurriculars, esp among 国际生 in china just arent like 关注ed a lot. also, if you're giving public speaking advice, i'd reccomend you choose a specfic public speaking activity (MUN, mock trial, moot court, WSDC, PF debate, BP debate) and provide guides/tips going down that route. I live in China and I'm really big on public speaking/debate activities myself as a high schooler and i feel like what's defs more popular is like MUN and PF debate, if you're familiar with it. OR alternatively REALLY farm off your scores, trust me it will work, i posted my ielts score once and it got a decent amount of attention on rednote (15k views, 800+ likes), and people will naturally ask u for advice and js leave it in the comments section

The ban isn't really about privacy concerns

Why exactly? You and me know why America is banning tiktok... They can't control the narrative their like they do with Facebook or Instagram YouTube. etc The genocide in Gaza was being shown in its full without any kind of censorship... And daddy israel doesn't like that so the AIPAC who's holding the American politicians by the balls... Forced them into banning the app.... It's not about privacy or any of that.... Say it with me....because he and his oligarch buddies are getting worried Americans are waking up to the truth about the anti-China propaganda BS in Red Note and will either demand better conditions or go full socialist.
