need advice for a short form video (reels) business idea

My sister and I are interested in learning how to make professional short form videos, like Instagram reels, and learning how to properly edit them. But we would not be the ones to post them/manage the social media.

At first, we were thinking of doing reels for Airbnbs, but it seems too complicated, especially with planning for when the cleaners/guests won't be there.

I do like the types of reels that feel luxurious, like luxury house reels, and the "aspirational POV" hospitality videos, but I'm open to other suggestions. We live in an area that is has a lot of wealthy people.

Does anyone have any ideas for who we could make these reels for?

I'd choose the niche based less on “luxury” and more on two things: easy filming access and a reason to need fresh footage every month.

Good local candidates: medspas, boutique gyms, high-end salons, restaurants/cocktail bars, interior designers/showrooms, luxury car detailers, and wedding venues. They all have visually satisfying processes, can usually give you a quiet 60–90 minute window, and regularly launch new services, menus, spaces, or transformations.

A practical way to test this:

Pick two niches and make one spec reel for each (with permission).
Create 3 versions from the same shoot: aspirational POV, process/before-after, and a simple offer/testimonial edit.
Show prospects the three finished examples and sell a monthly “content day” — e.g. one shoot that produces 8–12 edited clips — rather than social media management.
Track which niche is easiest to schedule, gives you the best footage, and actually rebooks. Let that data choose the niche.

I’d probably start with medspas or car detailers in a wealthy area. They have strong visual transformations and fewer access headaches than Airbnbs or occupied homes.
