After a month of TikTok, thinking about deleting it because clearly I’m not a good content creator.

Everyone keeps saying to be patient & I’m not giving it enough time. But I’m seeing other people with similar content that have even newer accounts & have more followers/videos with higher view counts. It’s a tribute to a video game character (I don’t post myself) & this guy is trending a lot, so why am I getting unlucky? Or better yet, is my content that crummy? I only have 53 followers and my highest viewed video only has 2k views. I try to post daily & at different times, along with adding relevant hashtags + trending songs. This is literally pathetic, I feel like I can’t do anything right. I have about 50 videos & that includes photos, which tend to get more attention. Normally, my content ranges between 300-600 views & some clearly a bit higher. When my account was newer, I was getting views in the high hundreds and closer to 1k. I’m so upset at the moment

you're measuring success by others, which is a trap. focus on improving your content instead. try experimenting with your video style or themes. even a small change can make a difference. also, check your analytics for what's working and adapt from there. don't get too caught up in the numbers or it'll drive you crazy. keep posting and see what sticks.

53 followers after one month isn’t evidence that you’re bad at this. The useful signal is that your photo posts already outperform your videos.

I’d stop changing posting times/hashtags for two weeks and run a controlled 10-post test instead:

  • Pick the best-performing photo post and turn it into a repeatable series (for example: “3 details you missed about [character]” or “best [character] moment, part 1”).
  • Make slide/frame 1 a clear promise, not just an image of the character.
  • Keep the topic and format consistent, but test one hook at a time.
  • After 24–48 hours, compare average watch time/completion rate, shares, profile visits, and follows—not only views.
  • Remake the top two ideas with a stronger first frame rather than constantly inventing new concepts.

TikTok often gives 300–600 views as an initial test batch. If people don’t stay or swipe through, trending audio and posting time usually won’t rescue it. Your 2k post is the clue: figure out what was different about its topic, opening frame, and payoff, then make three variations of that before deciding the account is dead.

Why are you making content? It's not easy to make money, or become famous from creating content. People would like to think it is but for most people it takes years of hard work and dedication to even see a little bit of success. If you aren't doing it because it's something you love to do that you probably should invest your time doing something else.

The drop from 800-1k down to 300-600 isn't decline, it's probably the account settling. A lot of platforms give a brand new account a wider test batch for the first few weeks while they're still profiling it, so your early views were partly novelty, not a signal you then failed to sustain. the number that tells you something real is the 2k video against your own other posts from the same period, not against someone else's month-old account in a different niche. pull your last 15-20 and see if completion/rewatch on that 2k one is meaningfully higher than the rest, that gap is the format worth repeating.

I’m on the same boat. I started tik tok few days ago and I experience the same problem. Honestly, I don’t think my content is low quality, that my videos aren’t good enough, or that I’m not good enough. I actually get good engagement when I first post, especially from my followers, and then suddenly it feels like TikTok just stops pushing my content.
That’s the part I genuinely don’t understand. I really don’t understand how TikTok decides which accounts to push and which ones not to. Sometimes I see accounts with content that, in my opinion, isn’t necessarily better, getting so much more reach, while my videos stop being shown after the initial engagement.
It’s honestly frustrating. I just wish I understood what determines whether TikTok continues to push a video or not. It seems that you have to be just lucky

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account.
