Can someone explain what I am supposed to be seeing here?

Gold_Past_6346about 2 hours ago13

Why would you tip a machine? I’m sure their tipping policy would be an interesting read.

erishunabout 3 hours ago12

If your state/city charges sales tax on food, it doesn’t show until the last screen.

Wherever OP is charges 8.66% tax (8 and 2/3 percent) which is why the $1.15 upcharge is listed as “TAX”

Had he left a tip, he would still only pay $1.15 in tax as almost all cities and states do not charge tax on gratuities

What’s the most important lesson out of all of this? Shake shack isn’t that good for what they charge with or without changing prices 🤷‍♂️

Cautious-Dig6379about 2 hours ago5

Some of you are so stupid I swear. Companies dont give a shit whether you tip or not.

The original video showed dynamic pricing. The newest (shit) trend in food service. It had nothing to do with whether you tip or not... the price was going up either way.

9.79 for a burger that tastes like how id imagine ai images of a burger would taste? That's the real crime here!

heatmiser333about 2 hours ago3

OK so is your point that you're trying to repeat that other shake shack thing or increase prices when leaving no tip and you're not seeing the same thing that those other TikTokers posted about the deal here?
