The reason you stopped posting isn't discipline, it's the blank box every morning
i quit posting three separate times before i figured out what was actually killing my consistency. it wasn't laziness or motivation. it was that every single morning i had to reinvent what to say from scratch, and that daily negotiation with myself is exhausting enough that eventually you just don't open the app.
the reframe that fixed it for me: consistency isn't willpower, it's removing decisions. most tools hand you a blank caption box and wish you luck, then act surprised when you ghost by week three. staring at that empty field isn't a discipline problem, it's decision paralysis nobody bothered to build around.
what actually worked was deciding the week's content ahead of time so the morning choice was already made. i batch-plan on sunday: for each day i write down one content idea, a rough hook, and one small action (reply to comments, send a lead magnet, whatever). when i sit down the choice is done, so showing up costs almost nothing.
the other thing i learned late: posting value all day still makes zero dollars if there's nothing to sell at the end of it. i had the expertise but no actual product, so attention just evaporated. building even a simple lead magnet gave the content somewhere to go.
curious how the rest of you kill the morning what-do-i-post dread. batch planning? a running idea list? something else?
