Teaching your kid that the galactic corporation that sparked the Clone Wars due to their own greed and vulnerability to being manipulated by the Sith "had a point there" because "taxes are theft" is so goddamned stupid.

The trade federation started an actual war because they didn't like the tax rates the republic was levying. And miss me with Boston Tea Party comparisons, Bostonians were mad they were being taxed but had no representation in the parliament, they weren't just mad because they thought taxes were 'theft.'

L. Loser trade federation take. Imagine claiming taxes are theft while driving on a paved road. Anyone who claims taxes are theft are morons.

They were a mega corporation who abused the free tax zone to create an armed monopoly. They forced planets into exclusivity agreements and murdered those in the way of profit.

That was before they were aligned with the literal Sith and invader Naboo because their Sith leader proposed a tax bill and told them to blockade so he could become the centralized Autocrat.
