I no longer understand Meta's 3rd party advertisement
I am no longer understanding the third party adds on the meta apps such as Instagram. This time and most recently I have straight up received ads that is fully uncensored unquestionably, sex such as a woman masturbating, fully without any form of censorship or anything. I know some people say that ads are personalized but I genuinely don't think that, I understand it because all I have is photo, art, and news on the rest of my feed and I have no interest of browsing such content... Also, no, reporting doesn't work because something or someone at Meta thinks it's not inappropriate at all.
As much as I understand that this is just meta and in general the issue of money being worth more than ethics or platform regulations, and I understand that there's always going to be loopholes but to this scale? One thing are those infuriatingly obviously AI generated ads for games or suggestive ads but another thing is straight up nudity and sexual contents. I must ask how this issue, that seem so relevant to so many, is never raised.
Especially considering you law recently wants to increase chat security and other things alike why would they not also deal with such advertisements?
Althrough, this issue is quite global I've mostly only noted this on Instagram but that's probably because it's the only thing I use on my phone that contains ads.
And on the PC I have adblockers.
