UPDATE: I built a challenge app that replaces traditional ads with something people actually want to be part of
Got tired of two things at once, not being able to trust if a photo online was actually real, and feeds full of ads nobody asked for. So I built something that fixes both.
Instead of selling ad space, anyone, a business, a brand, or just a regular person, can fund a photo or video challenge with real money. Anyone can open one, anyone can join one. People shoot their entry live in the app, the community votes, and the winner gets paid directly from that pool. Every entry also has to be captured live inside the app, front and back camera at the same time, so nothing can be uploaded from a gallery, screenshotted, or AI-generated. What you're looking at actually happened.
Features:
- Anyone can open or join a challenge, winner gets paid from the real pool, no ads involved
- Dual-camera capture, front + back simultaneously, proof built in
- Chronological feed, no algorithm deciding what gets shown
- No filters, no gallery uploads, ever
The app is called Rawly. Access is invite-only through a short waitlist right now, mainly to keep bot accounts and fake engagement out while it's still small. Search "Rawly" to find it.
Would genuinely love to hear what you think.
