Don't you need a background check to buy a gun?

This cute and all, but illegally selling guns is infinitly easier then votes. I don't that we shouldn't put in more safeguards against guns, but it really isn't the same thing as votes.

Unfortunately there isn't actually a constitutional right to vote. There are amendments that outlaw preventing certain groups to votes - or you can't discriminate based on race, gender or financial ability (poll tax) but there is no amendment or constitutional provision that affirmatively gives the right to vote. 

Which is wild to say the least. There are liberal groups who have pushed legislation forward to create a new constitutional amendment to address this but they haven't had much traction unfortunately because most people believe the Constitution already gives them the right to vote.

I have a feeling it's a group that dwindling in numbers and his group is a lot smaller now than when he got elected a second time.
