In many parts of rural America, police response can be quite literally HOURS away. Even in truly dire emergent scenarios. People who live their entire lives in dense urban regions cannot seem to comprehend how reliant you have to be on yourself out in rural country. He is absolutely entitled to be armed on his own property and I would argue that he was not being aggressively threatening. Rather he was informing these streamers that they're being incredibly stupid by encroaching on his property at odd ours of the day with presumably unknown / questionable intentions. Sure it was not an eloquent delivery, but it also wasn't an aggressive "I'm hoping to murder you" statement like many people in this thread are implying.
