Do people really not know this? Those baby blended smoothies/gassed chicks often get sold to us in pet foods (now made with real chicken! ) and other animal feed.

Didn't family guy and american dad animate some of these disgusting acts?

Im 23 and I def remember seeing that as a child. Not to make assumptions but, I feel like most of us knew this.

It's.. it's horrible, yes. Please do keep in mind. There are millions upon millions of people who eat eggs everyday. The old ways of being an honest and humane animal farmer are not so realistic anymore. Sure you can help by farming yourself in your own property but the demand isn't going anywhere. Poor chickies

Industrial farming is just that, industrial. Maximising profits is more important than animal welfare. There doesn’t seem to be proper free roaming, free range, farming at the industrial level. We can only try to use local meat or farms, or alternatively go veggie/vegan

I gave up eggs the second I found out about what they do to baby male chicks, not to mention what laying hens endure during the course of their short lifetime. Humans suck. If this upsets you, you may not want to know what they do to baby piglets (as well as adult pigs) - it's just as horrendous.
