Imagine explaining to police that the suspect is your cat.

In this real 2014 Portland 911 call, Lee Palmer tells dispatcher Desiree that his family cat Lux scratched his 7-month-old son and then trapped the family, their baby, and their Pomeranian inside a bedroom. Police responded to The Yards apartments in downtown Portland, where Lux eventually jumped onto the refrigerator before officers captured him with a dog snare. Nobody was seriously hurt, and Lux was later diagnosed with feline hyperesthesia, a neurological condition that may have contributed to the sudden aggression.

Many of those in this post have never been attacked by a cat…those claws can fuck you up.

However, the plan would be to get a sheet or a lamp or hairspray and a match or a laundry basket or anything to knock the shit out of the cat when it approaches.

My mom got trapped in a bathroom by her polydactyl black cat. He got weird and hated phones. She answered a phone, he would get feral. She had to get dad to come home because he just waited by the bedroom door. Only her. And those multitipped paws were lethal, scratched and gouged at the same time so I see why she retreated. It sounds silly, but a pissed off housecat is scarier than you would think.

If they were in a bedroom, this sounds like something two adults and a blanket could have solved. Unless it was the 7 month-old's bedroom, but he says 'our bedroom door'. If not catching the cat, use a blanket to form a wall, and herd it away.

Scarier than it sounds to somebody who's never experienced it though. My friend's cat fell from a 4th story window into a bush and survived, but it was never the same. When I house sat for him, I needed to spar with the cat with a broom to get access to it's food and feed it, and I'd doubt it even weighed 10 lbs.

Two things learnt here. Always check the cats history and see if there is previous violence. Do NOT kick your cat in the arse. That said this guy needs to grow a pair.
