New Social Media Site

Hey Everyone,

I have developed a new and ad free social media site called Whusup (I don’t know if I can post a link here so you can just google “Whusup social” and it should be the first result).

I am new to Reddit so I’m not sure if this is the right community, but I’m looking for 1. Feedback on the site 2. Gauging people’s interest in ad free and algorithm free / non corporatized social media and 3. Of course looking for people to try out the platform.

I get asked how I am monetizing this site and I am not - I pay for it out of my own pocket. I can probably sustain this up to 10k users (and since I’m at just above 30 verified users lets says we are safe :) ). After about 10,000 the AWS related costs can go up significantly but I’d plan to make it either donation based or perhaps introduce another service on the site separate from social media that can generate revenue - my main goal is that I’m sick of all the ads across so much social media and how they barrage you with things you may find interesting but just suck your brain power. This site is geared to be simple, user content based only without any paid promotions, and the popular tag on the front page will just show the most popular posts, the trending button will only have the most widely tending topics, etc.

Anyways let me know what you think or feel free to sign up and start using the site. You can post and share or search for your individual posts and create tags to group information. Of course more features coming.

I also get asked about apps on the store - this is on my radar but I haven’t developed them yet because most apps completely fail - if I can get a decent user base I will 100% develop the android and iOS apps

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account. That's basically a way to monetize your pages passively. For now I'm doing it myself with my own pages (3 tiktok pages with 500 to 3k followers, and 1 6k subscribers Youtube channel), I made around $800 renting these for less than a month.
