Nobody has said the three letters that change this for you, so: NIL 🏈
If you are in the US, you are not in the same position as an ordinary creator asking this. You can be paid for your name, image and likeness, and there is a compliance layer wrapped around it that a normal creator never touches.
The concrete part: third party NIL deals worth $600 or more get reported through NIL Go, and smaller payments from the same payer add up toward that $600 too. Separately, FTC disclosure on sponsored posts is federal and applies to you exactly like anyone else, and missing it can reach your eligibility rather than just your wallet.
So before the content plan, go and sit with your compliance officer. What your school and conference allow changes what is even worth building.
What is the sport?
