Getting views
I’ve been posting for about a month and I’m still in 300 view jail. My newer videos aren’t even getting much more than 100-150 views. I post daily and interact with the fyp. What am I doing wrong and how do I build a following?

The most important thing is to promise what you’re going to deliver in the first 2-3 seconds.
Use text on the screen to give sort of a “thesis statement”
Like my most viral videos are things like, “The vampire falls for the hunter and has no social skills.” Or “when the vampire finds out who hurt her favorite hunter.”
This is when they’ll stay for the whole scene.
Go to viral videos in the subjects that you’re doing and look and see what kind of text they have.
Hit the ground running. People tend to like content that looks like you’re running in and can’t wait to tell them what you’re about to say. Set the phone down to get movement as you start talking. Make sure you don’t pause after recording.
Try to use natural lighting and a decent mic.
Most importantly, TikTok is trying to find your audience, so hashtags can help. So instead of #fyp, something like #booktok or #4 to lovers.
Also, try posting to reels too. I avoided it for a long time, and actually do significantly better on there. It also has proven a good secondary test because I really believe TikTok will suppress views for different reasons, and you can compare it to Instagram.
Things like it wants you to pay for promotion, intermittent reinforcement and different guidelines of what is too sexy or inappropriate.

Feel free to laugh, but that’s what it felt like when I got the message that TikTok wasn’t available. I’m sad. But thank God our representatives, who have done nothing, finally united to make sure this happened. Don’t forget Trump started this whole thing when he said he wanted to ban it and also on August 6, 2020 signed an executive order to put sanctions on TikTok.

Its not goodbye just goodbye for now
I dont think i can put into words what this app has done for me. I lost my dad a year ago and tiktok was genuinely the only thing that kept me sane. If this is truly the end if just like to say thank you. I know most everyone here has some type of storyof what TikTok means to them and if you want to share id love to hear them. Thank you TikTok for being a light in a darkening world.

Cant Reset Password...

I told support this, and the same auto-generated crap about waiting 24 hours. What did you guys do to fix this? I have a pretty decent-sized following that I don't want to lose because of this...

Did they change the refresh your fyp thing?
I swear, back in 2025, if you refreshed your fyp, all your interests would be reset, and you would get videos as if you just created your acc. But now, it doesnt reset anything, it just shows you "popular content that you dont usually see" for a few days, and then it gets back to normal, except that you keep your new interests If yes, then is there any way to just reset your fyp?

Tiktok can you please add the skin tone search feature pinterest has
Pinterest lets you filter certain searches by skin tone, and I really wish TikTok had something similar. For example I’m a dark skin Black woman looking for braces inspiration, but even when I search “dark skin Black women with braces” I’m mostly getting medium to light-skinned women. I’d love a skin tone filter so I can actually see results that are closer to my complexion instead of having to keep scrolling through a broad range of skin tones.
