is anyone elses tiktok messed up, my fyp is random NPC videos and brand videos and the slider ar the bottom of the screen to skip through the video has disappeared. ive tried logging in and out, deleting and redownloading but nothing works

Yes I noticed the slider too. And all my videos are spammy Russian
try refreshing your For You Feed- in content preferences
I also can't control the video playback, only tap-hold to play 2x. It's every video on my FYP. It appears that on older videos I still find it, the line and the knob to control the play.
SAME, I've been trying to fix algorithms all day, nothing seems to work. I'm scared to reset all my algorithms since it's 5 years work tailored just for me
I get ai slop, local news in my area and suddenly the bulletin boards are back even though i don’t follow these people I am suddenly in the bulletin boards.
My videos are still English but I think it's giving me the default fyp for what it thinks your location is. Explains all the NPC 1M+ likes type of videos, and the spammy Russian/whatever country for people whose VPN might be set to those locations. It's clearly not supposed to do that, it's known to have a very good algorithm. It's funny seeing all of the obvious ads (the # even say ad) that all the bota and children somehow boost to millions of likes and hundreds of comments
Feel free to laugh, but that’s what it felt like when I got the message that TikTok wasn’t available. I’m sad. But thank God our representatives, who have done nothing, finally united to make sure this happened. Don’t forget Trump started this whole thing when he said he wanted to ban it and also on August 6, 2020 signed an executive order to put sanctions on TikTok.
I dont think i can put into words what this app has done for me. I lost my dad a year ago and tiktok was genuinely the only thing that kept me sane. If this is truly the end if just like to say thank you. I know most everyone here has some type of storyof what TikTok means to them and if you want to share id love to hear them. Thank you TikTok for being a light in a darkening world.

Anyone else block a TikTok page and then get that page's content pushed on your FYP anyway? Any way to stop this or is it just part of the post-capitalist tech hellscape we're living in now?
I dont know which sub to ask this in so sorry if this is not it but I have been getting in my suggested accounts all the people I dont follow who I have interacted with in the past; and one of my exes is always at the top, like hes the first person I see there when tiktok suggests any account, but I dont really look at his, maybe hes looking at mine a lot and thats the algorithm working? Because I don’t get it But my question is, if I had someone blocked who I interacted a lot with, will they get the my profile suggested that way now that theyre unblocked? Or more likely not to Because Im trying to get this person to see that I unblocked them without turning my profile views on and without following them
