Social media management for service related business

Hi,
Who in India can be a good coach to grow instagram and social media accounts for a services related business. I have read good things about aanvisocial , but is she equally good for service related pages, apart from the product pages?

The coaching question matters less than the reason most service accounts stall. Product pages have something to show, a new drop, a sale, a launch. A service business has to manufacture that equivalent, which usually means showing the work instead of describing it.

A few things that actually move service accounts:

Before and after beats a testimonial every time. Post the process, not just the result, since people book based on how you work. One clear offer per profile, and if nobody can tell what you do within five seconds of landing on the grid, the bio and highlights are the problem, not the reach. Local location tags matter more than hashtags when you are serving a specific area.

On picking a coach, ask for service-business examples specifically. If they cannot show you a services account they grew and what changed, they have not done it yet.

One thing worth checking before paying anyone. Ask your last five customers how they found you. That usually reveals the channel actually deserving the budget, and more often than not it is referrals rather than the channel people are about to hire for.The coaching question matters less than the reason most service accounts stall. What service are you in, and what city do you serve? That changes the answer a lot.

Most service businesses get more out of a solid Google Business Profile, a few reels showing the work, and a simple system for asking every happy customer for a review or a referral, before they put real money into a paid Instagram coach. Knowing your service and your area helps narrow down what is worth doing first.

I have not worked with her so I cannot vouch either way. But here is how I would judge any coach for a service business.

Product pages sell with visuals. Service pages sell with proof and DMs. A coach who teaches transitions and trending audio will not help you. Ask them one question: show me a service client who got actual clients from Instagram, not just views. If they can only show product pages or follower growth, keep looking.

How many rounds of revisions before a post stops being yours? I just watched a good idea die on round 4.

I do social for a few small clients. Last week I wrote a post I was actually proud of. Timely, a little funny, sounded like a real person. Then it went into approvals. Round 1, the hook got softened. Round 2, the joke came out. Round 3, the caption got rewritten to sound more like the brand, which apparently means more like a brochure. Round 4, someone senior who does not spend any time on the platform weighed in and we started over. The final version took 8 days to publish. It is fine. It is also something I would scroll right past. My question for other freelancers: do you cap revision rounds in your contract, and has anyone actually enforced it when a client pushed past the cap? I am thinking two rounds max, then we talk. Curious if that holds up in real life or if clients just laugh at it.

Why doesn’t Apple make a social media platform given all the major privacy concerns out of the popular platforms.

microsoft owns linkedin (imo that is social media). google owns youtube. maybe it is time for Apple to start a social media given the rise of Muse creating personal dossiers on all of its users (Meta - Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp). or even acquire one? I would love to use something other than tiktok, snapchat, instagram, youtube, or linkedin. apple?

Why am I using 5 different tools to manage social media?

Maybe this is just me, but my social media workflow currently looks something like: ChatGPT → content ideas Canva → design Scheduler → publishing Analytics tool → reporting Inbox → replies Spreadsheet → planning And then I'm somehow supposed to call this an "efficient workflow"😂 I'm curious if anyone has actually found a social media management tool that brings more of this together. Especially now that Al tools are becoming more capable. Would you rather have one platform that can actually execute tasks, or do you prefer having separate best-in-class tools?

Social media managers: where do you go to actually stay up to date?

I’ve been working as a social media manager for a few years now, and lately I feel like I’m constantly falling behind. Between algorithm changes, new features, AI tools, shifting content trends and everything else, it feels like the industry is changing faster than I can keep up with. And honestly, there’s SO much noise out there. Everyone seems to have a newsletter, a YouTube channel or some secret formula to beat the algorithm, but a lot of it feels like recycled advice or straight-up nonsense. So I’m curious: **where do you actually go to stay informed and keep learning?** I’m talking newsletters, blogs, YouTube channels, Instagram accounts, podcasts, communities… anything! I’d especially love recommendations from people who actually work in social media marketing and have found resources that consistently provide useful insights rather than generic tips. Would love to hear your recommendations!

what’s with the “first audience” theory

I’ve had videos on both Instagram and TikTok do 600 views with 90-110 likes, I’ve also had multiple videos do 50 likes in the first 30 minutes and cap out at 60 with the video not getting pushed past that I keep seeing everyone talk about this “your performance is entirely based on how your video does with the first audience” but it just doesn’t seem to be the case, I’ve actually had more videos do relatively poor in the first day or two then for some weird reason start to pick up day 3-4 just want some insight on what this whole idea is abt and maybe I’m misunderstanding
