Wtf is up with this “trend”?

It’s literally the same video copy pasted by different people. The script never change, same tone of voice, same fake surprise when they bite the food. I keep scrolling and my brain thinks is the same video on loop

I notice this too, the comments sections are always dead or just bot-like replies. Nobody question it. The whole thing feel like a weird social experiment no one signed up for

All it takes is one person doing it and getting some views and the rest will follow. The people doing it are just trying to piggyback off of someone else's "viral" video. TikTok knows whats up so they immediately create a hashtag and suggest others to do it. No different from pretty much every other trend. No one knows why it starts or why people can't be original but this is just another example of mindless, uncreative people who call themselves "influencers" after getting 1,000 or 2,000 views..I haven't opened TikTok ever since I stopped having to. I can't be bothered by the brainless slop people continuously put out. There are some good creators on the platform but they are becoming farther and fewer between. I'm just happy I have no more obligations to open the app.

Every time I post a video it suggests that I do one. And then it puts a big red hash tag of it in my hash tag history. They are making money of this as ads for sure

One of those things you just can’t escape. Don’t think I’ve ever watched more than a second (the identical scripts give them all away pretty quick) but there’ll be a few a day, every single day.

On creator insights it just shows you the things that are trending so you just have to use the template and post the same exact thing to get views
