this is what a society with unmet material needs looks like.
needs for:
- health care
- mental health
- healthy food options
- regulation on media corruption
- regulation on fast fashion
- strong public education
I’m sure I’ll get a ton of people that don’t want to admit this, but it’s always funny how this sub changes its tune based on the race of who’s in the video.
Anytime there’s a couple of Black people stealing stuff the comments are 80% racist as shit. Now that it’s white people stealing from Walmart it’s a societal issue and they shouldn’t be blamed.
Racism in America is alive and well.
I’m mean they’re morons, but I could give a shit less if people steal from Walmart.
Simping for billionaires is why the USA is collapsing.
Walmart employees are instructed to not intervene and the public knows it. This is what happens.
Too bad she didn’t steal some clothes that fit
So we've set up a society where there are zero safety nets if you're in a jam. Pay is shit and employers have the upper hand. There is zero affordable healthcare, education is unaffordable, housing is unaffordable, gas is unaffordable, and I'm supposed to care and be outraged that these people are stealing from Walmart? A corporation that notoriously underpays their employees to the point where most of their workforce is on welfare?
These aren't people who do this shit for fun. Nobody does this shit because it's fun. This is desperation and resorting to doing what needs to be done to survive. This is what that looks like in our society.
Society is such a fucking mess.
Just poor, desperate people. Poverty and addiction are fantastic motivators to stop giving a fuck.
All these super tough people love to pretend that they will do anything it takes to protect the corporation that was literally catalyst for the downfall of small businesses in America.
It’s just sad
