I feel you, in 2021 30k in couple months posting something like two dozen of pics 🤣 now it's impossible, I got 3k in like 3-4 months and I am going to be banned lol

hashtags are a crapshoot now so forget the 30-set spam, focus on making your text posts so shareable people screenshot them and blast them to their stories, that's the new organic reach

Build short carousels around one idea: an opening quote, a real-life example, then a practical takeaway. You can keep everything text-based while giving people something beyond a line they have probably seen elsewhere.

If you refuse to do reels, carousels are your absolute best bet for text posts. But hashtags basically act like keywords for search now instead of a magic reach button. You'd probably have an easier time doing text content over on Threads or X if you want that 2019 text-post vibe back.

I think with some meaty, informational with seamless storytelling carrousel contents would do you justice. Just make sure that every slide is worth people sliding for.

i'd test 10 recurring text formats before touching Reels. keep the 2 with the highest saves + profile visits and kill the rest.

nobody needs to follow you anymore, and thats why your reels get views and no follows

everyone is asking why the views are fine and the follows are dead, and i think the answer is boring and structural, not the algorithm punishing anyone. think about why you used to follow an account. you followed so you would see their stuff again. that was the entire deal. now the feed serves you whatever it wants either way, and if that person makes another good video you will probably get shown it regardless. so following costs the viewer a slightly messier feed and gives them almost nothing back. the trade stopped making sense. which means "follow for more" is asking people to pay for something they already get for free. no wonder it quietly stopped working. the follows that still happen look different to me. people follow when they want to find you again on purpose. not to receive you, to locate you. thats a completely different job and it needs a different reason. a series where they want the next part. a name for the thing you do. something on the profile that signals there is more of this and its organised, not just one good video and then vibes. heres the part im not certain about and would like people to push back on. if this is right, two accounts making equally good videos should convert views into follows at wildly different rates depending on whether theres a recognisable recurring thing on the profile, and hook quality should barely matter for the follow specifically. it obviously still matters for the view. so if you run a series or a named format, does your follow rate look different from your one off posts? id like to know if this holds up or if im talking nonsense.

Meta and the No Kings backlash

How is there no discussion on this subreddit about this? My Meta feeds are dominated by anti-Meta comments saying everyone needs to abandon Meta. This seems like a good opportunity to start discussing and sharing some alternative social networks. Has anyone taken this as an opportunity to express solidarity against this blatant form of censorship? The problem is that in order to get people to switch from Meta, you kind of have to pay a LOT of money to Meta to advertise. This is also just the latest backlash against Meta after a series of moves by the company that has angered small business owners, page and group owners who now have to pay monthly fees to put links on their content (gimme a break), poor performance on their advertising channels, poor reach from some of their channels based on Meta's algorithm changes. The 1984 style thought control is being thrown in all of our faces and it is unacceptable to me as a citizen to put up with it. So, I know this topic is widely covered, but I was surprised to not see any discussion specifically around this from this past week. So i guess the question is .... what do we do about it?

Would hiring a social media manager help me actually start posting consistently?

I’ve barely posted on social media for years, but I’d like to start building more of a personal/professional presence. My biggest issues are honestly pretty basic: I overthink how I’ll be perceived, get overly focused on likes/views/numbers, and then struggle to post consistently. I can spend way too long thinking about a simple post and then end up posting nothing. I’m wondering if hiring a social media manager or strategist would actually help with this, or if that’s overkill. Ideally I’d want help with content ideas, planning, editing, scheduling, and basically creating enough structure that I stop overthinking every post. I’d still want it to sound like me and not feel overly polished or “influencer-y.” For people who do this professionally: Is this the kind of client/problem a social media manager can actually help with? Would I be better off looking for a social media manager, content strategist, or personal branding person? What would a reasonable monthly budget be? Where would you recommend finding someone good?

Is it true that you get more engagement with owning the latest iphone?

I have always known that Iphone has better social media optimization but I was wondering if you get an advantage with audience engagement if you have the latest Iphone model? In 2020 I had the then new Iphone 12 pro max and I posted a random trashy video and it went viral with like 700k likes. Does your phone model really have a connection to the algorithm or am I just overthinking it?

Learning Event Promotion, Marketing and Sharing to Groups, Increasing Engagement, Taking Care of Brand Partners

Hello, I'm working as a Beginner Social Engagement Role in my company and the need to learn about Promoting Events on Facebook to maximize people, make it a good time for them. We push static posts, ads and reels for this. The niche is within an Education Brand. We want to highlight partners and brands that teamed up with us for these ventures. I want to learn how to effectively provide results needed for my client and want to learn best practices to do so. I think a system from when we do outreach to post-event and then following up with them is one concept. What other things could be done? Hope we can engage and discuss about these things together thank you

Can individuals make and sponsor political content?

So, I'm rich now, I've always complained about rich people influencing politics.. Can I do that? :D Can I just, make videos talking about politics and post them as "paid for by me" and sponsor them to get huge views? Seems sketch but with all these Russian bots maybe it is just that easy?
