Amusingly tiktok will survive. They lost 18% of their global users. Theyll be fine by themselves plus it's parent company has very very deep pockets. Its the US cut itself off from a good platform.

It’s the roaring 20s all over again except this time it’s the tiktok prohibition.

It's a sad day 😞 I like legit feel depressed. Haven't been able to sleep 🥹 Like I was on Tiktok all day bc I had a weird feeling. Plus, I wanted to enjoy my last day there. I worked really hard on the content I posted. It was getting lots of views and likes. I was trying to grow my future business. Also got accepted into Tiktok shop. Then that bs happens!!!

WE'RE KILLING TIKTOK ON APRIL 20 IF AMERICANS DON'T GET IT BACK

Hey there fellow tiktokers, what's up? We all know that TikTok has been banned in the USA because ByteDance hasn't sold it to this date. Now, it shouldn't affect us non-American users, but let's put ourselves on their shoes and imagine how they'd feel like if they can no longer access one of their favorite apps of all time. And the only way to make Americans able to access the app again is making ByteDance sell it.

I think all this proves that ByteDance cares more about owning TikTok than about the actual user experience. If they actually cared about the user experience, they would've sold the app already so that US users can still have access to it. I don't know if the allegations about giving data to the Chinese government are true, but the fact that they're capable of sacrificing all their US users just to still own the app should be raising concerns.

Therefore, I believe the most effective way to make the app usable again for Americans is if the users ourselves pressure the company to sell it. So my plan is, they have until April 20 (13 weeks, 25% of a year) to sell the app starting today, January 19. If by April 20 the app is still owned by ByteDance, we're gonna straight up kill TikTok.

If April 20 arrives and ByteDance still owns TikTok, here's the plan:

• Post a last video dissing ByteDance on TikTok
• Mass quit the app and never come back (until ByteDance eventually decides to sell it, if that ever happens)
• Get "#deathtotheTraiTok" trending on social media
• Flood social media with ByteDance/TikTok disses
• If someone has more ideas I might consider adding them to the list
