It’s not that I even posted often or had specific mutuals, but it’s like 80% of the world just disappeared. Like, I just got a book off hold at the library and I know ppl on booktok would understand my excitement. Now I don’t know who to share it with now😿
I feel cut off
Since tiktok is gone i was going to start reading books.....but i don't know what book to read without booktok 🥲
It's like I lost my friends, my comfort, and my access to information. I have loved seeing creators grow year to year in expressing what they love. I have found amazing musicians that have been in my top ten for years now. I get news from independent news as well as the big congomerates. I am truly devastated that 4+ years of my life and my growth (mostly recorded in my likes and saved videos) are inaccessible. It's so hard to explain how big an impact tik tok has had on my life. I'm grieving.

It’s intentional. They want us cut off and isolated imo.
Same. We all had our communities and found ways to empathize with one another. We learned from one another. We helped one another. It was a great place to be.
Remember folks- free countries don’t ban apps. Dictatorships and Oligarchies do.

Feel free to laugh, but that’s what it felt like when I got the message that TikTok wasn’t available. I’m sad. But thank God our representatives, who have done nothing, finally united to make sure this happened. Don’t forget Trump started this whole thing when he said he wanted to ban it and also on August 6, 2020 signed an executive order to put sanctions on TikTok.
I dont think i can put into words what this app has done for me. I lost my dad a year ago and tiktok was genuinely the only thing that kept me sane. If this is truly the end if just like to say thank you. I know most everyone here has some type of storyof what TikTok means to them and if you want to share id love to hear them. Thank you TikTok for being a light in a darkening world.
Cleared cache cookies even tried 3 other browsers, still i cant follow someone, when it refreshes it just unfollows again
