Feel free to laugh, but that’s what it felt like when I got the message that TikTok wasn’t available. I’m sad. But thank God our representatives, who have done nothing, finally united to make sure this happened. Don’t forget Trump started this whole thing when he said he wanted to ban it and also on August 6, 2020 signed an executive order to put sanctions on TikTok.

This shows how easily people are manipulated into thinking they’re under attack. Everyone’s mad at Biden, but let’s not forget that Trump started the TikTok ban. Now TikTok is saying, ‘We’re working with the Trump administration,’ to make people angrier at Democrats and love Trump, even though he’s the one who created this mess in the first place.
For context, the White House called TikTok’s ‘we’ll go dark Sunday’ statement a stunt, pointing out there was no need for action until Trump’s term ended. The Supreme Court upheld the ban unless ByteDance sells TikTok. This isn’t about freedom of speech—it’s political theater designed to manipulate people.
The bipartisan bill banning TikTok did have widespread Congressional support and was signed by Biden, but the controversy started under Trump in 2020 when he signed an executive order targeting ByteDance over national security concerns. That move set the stage for the bipartisan bill Biden later signed. Both administrations played a role in this, so it’s not as one-sided as people think.
I also believe Trump played Biden here, just like he did in Afghanistan, where Biden ended up taking all the blame for the fallout. Remember when Biden tried to pass an immigration bill that even Republicans supported, but Trump told them to vote against it so he could take credit later if he became president? Congress often acts like Trump’s little dogs, and this is all part of the same playbook. Wake up

I feel the same way minus the blame Trump part. All three branches of our government failed us. The Supreme Court, Trump, Biden, and every piece of shit congressman who voted for this. Between the TikTok ban, how the government overreacted to Luigi Mangione (from his ridiculous perp walk to being charged with terrorism), to them completely ignoring the drones flying over New Jersey, it’s like the blinders have been completely ripped off my eyes. The rot in Washington DC isn’t even subtle anymore.
HOW TO REDOWNLOAD TIK TOK
Okay so to start, I wanna say do this on a separate device and NOT the one you have your main account on (just in case tik tok gets unbanned and you want all your drafts)
Step 1: get a VPN ( I use VPN super unlimited proxy.
Step 2: change the location to Canada on the VPN
Step 3: go to the App Store, press on your profile, and change your region to Canada. At the end it will ask for a payment method just click none. For the address and phone number just search up a random address and number on google.
Step 4: delete tik tok from your phone and redownload it.
AND THEN NOW YOU HAVE TIK TOK BACK. btw all our accounts are still there I just checked mine and my collections and likes are fine :)

I found a way to still record videos and send them to drafts. It feels like leaving voicemails to a dead person.
I tried to explain how nothing else compares to tiktok and a bunch of people are just like I never downloaded tiktok and don't care. I just want to see what's happening in the world without going to like 50 different websites.
This feeling is comparable to being told all our lives that getting a college degree would land us a good paying job. I feel a part of the simulation without the Tiktok community we once had.
