I simply just saw this situation playing out this way where we would all be expected to hail Trump as a hero for “saving TikTok.” I’m not believing TikTok is saved until I have the full picture and know that it will stay safe and uncensored. I’m not confident that it will truly remain what it has been the last several years.

If it comes back, it won’t ever be the same. I’ll probably be deleting my account because I don’t trust any corporate entity that bows to this forced takeover. I actually wish they’d just let it go dark as a giant f you to the government. A new better alternative will come…but for now there’s Bluesky. Which is at least an open source platform
