A lot of Americans are amazed by Chinese cars.

From the likes of BYD, Li Mega, Xiaomi and many others. As a Peruvian it's so funny seeing them finally realising that Chinese cars offer a lot for a lower price (we a see a lot of Jetours and Great Walls)

They all seem to love the modern and highly equipped minivans, MPV that cost 40k at most, seems that everyone wants smaller more practical cars from CN.

And many people are saying things like if these cars come to the US, US car companies would just die instantly

And these Americans on RedNote are statistically less likely to be able to afford Tesla EVs and more likely to resent the tariffs on Chinese EVs.

if nothing else comes from all of this, I'd love to see most Americans' viewpoint of the country's exceptionalism just shattered

Tbh, ppl from US knows nothing about the rest of the world. Just because of a social media ban now they know about something that is not about themselves, they really think they were the center of this world.

In Latin America we know this for a while and we are amazed too.

The average income per year of average chinese in China is 106,837 Yuan. Converted to USD, that is $14,604.60

Almost half the popuation in china earn less than 1,000 yuan per month. That is around $136.72

Yes, low price is the main reason

My impression of BYD is that it is cheap but of poor quality. It satisfies the dream of many families who want to own a car, so it still ranks first in sales no matter how much it is confirmed.

I just visited Shanghai in this June. Yes, EV cars in China are much cheaper. As I did not drive these cars, I cannot tell the quality but I believe Tesla is still better. If it is not, why Chinese still buy it and Tesla sold the most EV cars in China. Also, Tesla is cheaper in China but they are made in Chinese factories. So, it costs less to make Cars over there also.

Here I also want to remind my American friends. The reason why China became so successful was because Chinese worked really hard. In last couples of years, the big Chinese companies talked about 996. It meant they started their days at 9 and ends at 9. They worked for 6 days on the roll. Rome did not built in a day. In order to keep our high living standards, we do need to work very hard to make sure we leave our kids a better future.

Not to mention a lot of the Chinese cars aren’t as expensive either

Making the Jump from TikTok to Rednote(Xiaohongshu)? Here’s What You Need to Know

So you’re thinking about switching (or at least dabbling) from TikTok to **Rednote** (aka Xiaohongshu)? Here’s a quick rundown on what to expect and how to adapt: 1. **Different Vibe** * **TikTok** is all about short, snappy videos—dances, trends, and memes. * **Rednote** leans more toward lifestyle tips, product reviews, and personal stories. Think mini-blogs rather than just quick clips. 2. **Less is More—or Is It?** * On **TikTok**, you can go viral with a 15-second masterpiece. * On **Rednote**, people actually read captions and appreciate detailed posts. Don’t be afraid to write a bit more and share personal insights. 3. **Engage with the Community** * Responding to comments is key on both platforms, but **Rednote** users expect a friendlier, more helpful approach. Focus on real interaction rather than just racking up views. 4. **Use Relevant Hashtags & Keywords** * **TikTok** hashtags can be trendy and fleeting. * **Rednote** hashtags and keywords should be more targeted, especially if you’re reviewing products or sharing how-to tips. 5. **Be Ready for Culture Shifts** * The **Rednote** audience often loves beauty, travel, fashion, and “real-life” hacks. * If you’re pivoting from dance challenges, consider experimenting with lifestyle or review content to fit the platform’s style. 6. **Quality Over Quantity** * While **TikTok** can reward frequent posting, **Rednote** might favor fewer, well-thought-out posts that really resonate. High-quality visuals and genuine storytelling go a long way. Got questions about Rednote? Drop ’em below—always happy to help a fellow content creator make the jump!

The ban isn't really about privacy concerns

Why exactly? You and me know why America is banning tiktok... They can't control the narrative their like they do with Facebook or Instagram YouTube. etc The genocide in Gaza was being shown in its full without any kind of censorship... And daddy israel doesn't like that so the AIPAC who's holding the American politicians by the balls... Forced them into banning the app.... It's not about privacy or any of that.... Remember edward Snowden.? I rest my case.

Y'all know why Trump suddenly became "pro-TikTok" right?

Say it with me....because he and his oligarch buddies are getting worried Americans are waking up to the truth about the anti-China propaganda BS in Red Note and will either demand better conditions or go full socialist.
