Idk if this’ll get taken down but does TikTok feel odd to anyone else. Like it came back… but it’s not TikTok? I feel creeped out scrolling it now. Like it’s not on any App Store, it’s online, but everything feels different. The videos I’m seeing don’t even feel real. I can’t tell what’s real, what’s AI, what’s flat out fake. And it’s creepy. Who brought it back so quickly, like what’s really going on. This feels like a government mind game.
Someone said it best in a comment ‘I feel like someone came in my room but I don’t know what’s wrong yet’ something along those lines. It does feel weird and I don’t know why yet.
Tik tok playing a game, the app is pretty scummy despite me using it for entertainment and enjoying the app but there is something suspicious with them, just like any social media
I did read that when it came back it wouldn’t be the same algorithm. Maybe it’s just taking time to get everything back like it was! 🤷🏼♀️

It’s not that I even posted often or had specific mutuals, but it’s like 80% of the world just disappeared. Like, I just got a book off hold at the library and I know ppl on booktok would understand my excitement. Now I don’t know who to share it with now😿
2Hey! Apologies if this is not allowed, however I’ve had this issue for about 8 months now. This is shown at the top of my profile, not allowing any of my videos or account to be recommended to others, simply just removing me off of the fyp. It isn’t visible to others, just myself. For context, my account is just videos of myself / things I do in day to day life - nothing confusing or misleading in the slightest. All my account checks come up clear too, none of my videos have been flagged. I’ve spent countless hours writing emails to support as well as going through every single internal support channel I can, all to no avail (they ghost me). I’d simply like to know what they think is misleading so that I can rectify. I’ve also sent my ID, also to no avail. Has anyone else been through this / knows what to do?
